Octubre is here (week after London)
We got back to Resa around 1 Monday and were expecting the other half of our group to be back around 1:30. Half of our group had gone to London, and the other half had gone to Dublin. We found out a little after we got back that they had missed their flight and were having to stay in the airport overnight and catch the next flight which was the following morning. How much does that stink! Bhavika, my roommate, happened to be one of the people stuck in Dublin. The thing that really stunk about the whole situation was that we had A LOT of work to do for our first studio critique Tuesday, and we are in groups of three, and Bhavika is in my group. It stunk because all of the groups had at least one person still in Dublin, and it sucked for them because they had to spend 24 hours in an airport. All of us spent those 24 hours working on our p
rojects for the review. I took a two hour nap at six in the morning, but other than that, it was all working. The people from Dublin got back at 2:15 and we had class at 3, so i was cutting it really close. It ended up all working out, like always, but our presentation wasn't as good as we would've liked. When reviews were all over, and we had all been slapped around enough, our prof told us to go to a bar with our group, get a drink, and then talk about the reviews and what we needed to fix. So, like we were instructed, Todd, Bhavika, and I headed to a pub and drank cider and talked. Then we went to Bocatta, so good, and had dinner, quickly followed by sleep! Wednesday was just class during the day. That evening, our whole group met at a restaurant because it was one of the girls birthdays. It was a lot of fun to be away from focusing on school work just for an evening. Also, I got to sit by the birthday girls friend who was in town and who was absolutely hilarious. She and her husband live in Paris and are traveling Europe for a month for their one year and they were so much fun! She is also a makeup designer which is cool. I had a tortilla de patata which is a traditional spanish dish similar to an omlete made with potatoe and onion and egg of course. It was really good. After dinner, it was straight back to work on the projects. Thursday, again the day was filled with school. In the evening, we weren't going to do anything, because i had been feeling really sick all day and we were still recuperating from the all nighter. But, some of the people from Clemson knocked on our door and wanted us to go out with them. We ended up going and having a re
cheerleader styled him up. Then I had no way to get up, but these guys happened to be walking by at the moment who were from England and came over and put me on the cat. It was really funny. While we were up there, we just posed and took funny pictures! Getting down, i slipped aally good time. There is this huge statue of a cat near where we live in the Raval, so on our way home we decided to climb on it. One of the guys helped everyone else get on and then Ind felt on my rear and it hurt really bad, but it was hilarious. We all slid down the tail to get off, and right when we were getting off, the cops came by, but they weren't really mad. It was nice to hang out with people other than just our small little group. The first pic is obviously of B on the huge cat and then the second is christina, bhavika, andrew and madison (two clemson guys). There are more pics from when i was up there too, but they are not on my camera obviously, so i dont have them.
